HEATPROBE - QUICK SIZING AND CALCULATION GUIDE
RECTANGULAR HYDRAULIC TANKS
Obtain tank measurements - size in inches (L x W xH)
Decide how quickly you need the tank heated for your application
- Fast Heat = temperature rise of 36F (20C) within the first hour
- Standard Heat = temperature rise of 27F (15C) within the first hour
Calculate required length of HeatProbe in inches
- Fast Heat: L x W x H x 0.0018 = HeatProbe immersion length (inches)
- Standard Heat: L x W x H x 0.0013 = HeatProbe immersion length (inches)
